Intro.15

One of the zealots was carrying an object that looked useful. You see their burned body half-buried in ash.

△ LUCK

When you ⊙ Luck, roll your Luck die.

  • 1–2: Fail. Luck ⇩
  • 3+: Pass.
  • Max Value: Pass. Luck ⇧

Max Value is the highest natural result on the die.

If at d4 and Luck ⇩, remove the die. Your Luck is now 0 and cannot be rolled.

△ LUCK FOR AN ACTION

After you Commit Attack, Commit Defense, Commit Move, or Commit Skill, you may ⊙ Luck once before resolving the Commit.

  • 1–2: Add nothing. Luck ⇩
  • 3+: Add ★.
  • Max Value: Add ★. Luck ⇧

Resolve the Commit using the final number of ★.

Example

Commit Skill (+Stealth).

  • ★★★− → Entry A
  • ★★★★+ → Entry B

A Value of 11 generates ★★★.

  • On a successful Luck roll, add ★ and go to Entry B.
  • On 1–2, add nothing and go to Entry A.

When rolled, Luck only increases on its Max Value. If your Luck is 0 when you Rest, it becomes d4.

⊙ Luck

  • 1–2: You find nothing.
  • 3+: You find a Tool. Draw 2 Tools. Choose 1.
  • Max Value: Increase your Luck die by 1 step and find a Tool. Draw 2 Tools. Choose 1.

Regardless of the result, continue as if you got a 3+.

△ ITEMS

A Tool is one type of Item.

When instructed to Draw a specific type of Item, reveal cards until you find that type. Place the other revealed cards at the bottom of the Item Deck.

Draw X. Choose Y.: Draw the listed number of matching cards, keep the listed number, and place the rest at the bottom of the deck.

The game may ask you to Draw Tools, Weapons, Corrupted Items, or Uncorrupted Items.

Place the Tool on your Inventory Board.
